A Chama is Born!
Sophie had her litter of 7 pups on October 1, 2022, in Hermiston, OR. We don’t know for sure which pup is Chama in this first set of photos because we can’t see his green collar.
Tired mama, but doing well and taking good care of her puppies.
After being weaned, the pups slept snuggled together with a big stuffed toy.
None of these pups look like they skip any meals. I think Chama is at 9:00.

Here’s Chama, Mr. Green Collar! His sleeping pose here is a hint about his future sleeping preferences.
The pups are sleeping on their potty pan. Anne, their breeder, said this litter didn’t use the potty pan much at all for pottying. Chama somehow learned that concept anyway; the first time we left him home in his pen for a couple of hours while we went out to dinner, he piddled in his own fake-grass potty pan.
